We are involved in putting together some concerts in Cornwall next year under the heading 'The Lost Music of Cornwall' The idea came from Sue Aston's side project 'The Aston Ensemble' which features music from Cornish Composers. The group premiers every year music from composers many of whom have never had their music played in public. We will post updates here as we get them but please get in touch if you wish to help.
"The landscape of Cornwall, the sea, the folklore and the lifestyle here are all tremendous influences on my work and have been for many other composers" says Sue. "My aim is that the Aston Ensemble will become synonymous with exciting new musical ventures, as it will showcase the talents of new composers and excellent musicians". Sue Aston.
